This program explains the concept of the Recognition, Evaluation and Control of Hazards, or REACH. The program includes: a definition of REACH; why REACH is a vital principle of the workplace safety; how to recognize, evaluate and effectively control hazards in the workplace; the different methods of hazard control, including elimination, substitution, engineering controls, administrative controls and personal protective equipment; examples of common workplace hazards and examples of control measures that can be put into place to reduce the risk; and an emphasis of how REACH should be applied to all workplace hazards.
